Get Involved

Vassar was founded in defiance of conventional wisdom, and that spirit continues today.

  • A Vassar education would not be possible without the financial support of our graduates.
  • Essential to our continued growth and success are the energy, time, and expertise of our dedicated volunteers.

Volunteers are people who care

Volunteers are essential to the continued growth and success of the college. For forty years, we have put together a team of dedicated class volunteers who donate their energy, time, and expertise in the following areas:

  • Reunions
  • Fundraising and development
  • Class notes in the Vassar Quarterly
  • Mini-reunions
  • Vassar Board of Trustees, Development Committee, & President's Advisory Council
  • Campaign Steering Committee, Missie Rennie Taylor, vice chair
  • Members of Endowment & other committees
  • AAVC Board

Interested in volunteering? You will have wonderful opportunities to meet new friends and receive some special benefits, and your efforts will be greatly appreciated by all who are associated with Vassar. For more information on our volunteer program, please contact Bets Howland for more information.

Donor Listing/Class Giving

A Vassar education would not be possible without the financial support of our classmates. We gratefully acknowledge the individuals, foundations, and corporations for their generosity to the Annual Fund.

Class Dues: $50 for 2011 "building for our 50th!"

The glow of our fantastic 40th has faded into happy memory and we look ahead to our 45! June 7-9, 2013. Yes, the economy is bad just now but hope abounds and our class treasury is in good shape ($14,158 at 6/13/2011), thanks to the good ministrations of Susan Morris Knowles and the folks at AAVC all these years. read more
